Ashley's Hospital Visit

Last Wednesday Ashley had to go to Scottish Rite Hospital for a little procedure. She's been having some problems with her stomach so they decided that they wanted to go down and take a look. We got to Scottish Rite at 6am and went up to the Day surgery floor. As soon as they took us back, Ashley hopped into her little hospital gown and lovely (NOT) green socks with rubber skids on them. Then she hopped up onto the hospital bed and got busy reading, watching TV and drawing on her Etch-a-Sketch.
Around 9am they brought Ashley her "happy" medicine which tasted awful. The nurse came to take her back for her procedure. The doctor said that if they saw anything while they were down there, they would go ahead and do the surgery.

Around 9:30 the doctor came back and said that they hadn't seen anything. He thought her problems were that she wasn't digesting her food well so he put her on a very high fiber diet and Zantac twice a day for her irritated stomach. Soon they brought Ashley back and she was sleeping like a log!

An hour later they woke her up.

After she came fully awake and had 2 slushies (and kept them down), they let her get dressed to go home. She got to ride to the car in a wagon. Scottish Rite hospital is such a wonderful place! They are so good with the kids and so nice and helpful. They really make an uncomfortable visit so much better!!!!
